Back in April 2022, the Poudre Food Partnership hosted the Northern Colorado Food Summit at CSU Powerhouse. This summit was one of many sponsored by CSU Food Systems, and out of all of the regional gatherings across the entire State of Colorado, Northern Colorado had the largest turn out (about ~100 attendees, virtual and in-person). To learn more about this event, please review the digital agenda along with photos from the event.
From this event, CSU Food Systems facilitators captivated the opportunities and challenges within Northern Colorado food systems - from the opinions for farmers, chefs, social justice groups, educators, advocates, eaters, etc. From our findings, our conversation was illustrated by Karina Branson to help provide a road map to where our community wants to go.
There are things within Northern Colorado Food System that is worth celebrating + nurturing, that is needing care + attention, and ultimately, from addresses these two areas, it will help perpetuate us to where we want to go.
While there is still work to be done, we invite you to look at this road map and find ways you or your organization can get involved on helping build a more vibrant, equitable and resilient food system for Northern Colorado.
