Thank you so much to everyone who attended the Regional Convening for the CO Food Summit on Tuesday, April 5th, 2022. We had almost 100 registrants - 60 in-person and 35 virtual. According to the CO Food Summit facilitators, the Northern Colorado gathering was the largest convening throughout the State! County Community John Kefalas and CSU Professor Dr. Dawn Thilmany started the event with important words about our regional food systems. Later, CSU Food Systems and Poudre Food Partnership helped facilitate the event to understand our region’s successes, challenges, and future opportunities of where we want to go!
It was an exciting evening of connections, collaboration, and frank conversations. From celebrating local initiatives to understanding the complex challenges within our local food system, we are so grateful for everyone’s engagement and advocacy for our community. The themes and ideas that came from the event were consolidated into a report and event recap linked below. This report will be reviewed by members of the CO Food Summit and will be discussed in December 2022 for the statewide convening. If you are interested in participating in this event, feel free to subscribe to the CSU Food Systems mailing list to stay up to date on event registration.
Next Steps & How to Stay Involved
